Host Exchange Students For The 2016-2017 School Year.

By Coordinator Kathy Montemayor August 19, 2016

Solano county coordinators for the Council on International Educational Exchange, a non-profit organization promoting international education and exchange, are looking for families and individuals in Solano County to host exchange students for the 2016-2017 school year.

Coordinator Kathy Montemayor said that students will be arriving throughout August so they're taking applications now.

To become a host family, they must complete an online application that includes background checks and references. Coordinators also require an in-person interview in their home.  Once the family is vetted, they'll be matched with a student.

Becoming a CIEE host family is a life changing experience. When you give an international student the opportunity to explore American culture through your eyes, you’ll discover a new culture as well, by experiencing new values, traditions, languages and foods.

For more information about becoming a host family, visit www.ciee.org/highschool

Or, feel free to start a host family application at any time http://usahs.ciee.org/HighSchool/HostFamily/Registration.aspx.

CIEE also offers a $100 Referral Bonus to anyone who refers a family to us that ends up hosting. The referral bonus can be sent to individuals, or made as a donation to schools, teams, or other groups.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact Local Coordinator, Kathy Montemayor, 707-428-3771
