Solano County Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival Guide!

Now that it's officially October, It's time to get ready for Halloween! That means checking out the best Pumpkin Patches that Solano County has to offer and enjoying the local fall festivals. So let us do the research for you. You can just grab your family and get right to having some great Fall fun.

Pumpkin Patches

Cool Patch pumpkins located in Dixon is home of the Guinness Book of world records largest Corn maze. They also have a much smaller African Grass maze for the little kids, as well as a corn kernel pit and much much more. Open everyday from 9am-8pm.

Silveyville Pumpkin Farm located in Dixon has a duck pond, two kids play areas, and an ATV train tour of the farm. Just to name a few things to do. Open everyday from 10am-6pm. www.silveyvilletreefarm.com

Larry's Produce located in Fairfield has a fun pumpkin patch right behind all the produce. Here you will find a giant slide that takes kids right into a huge corn kernal pit. They also have a smaller corn bath for toddlers a you pick pumpkin patch and more. Be sure to bring cash - as they are a cash only venue. Open everyday from 9am to 5pm.

Western Railway Museum located in Suisun City off Hwy 12. Ride the pumpkin patch trains to and from the pumpkin patch. Where you will find a hay castle to climb and a pumpkin launching game and much more. Open Saturdays & Sundays from 10:30am-5pm. www.wrm.org/events/item/29-pumpkin-patch-festival

Loma Vista Farm located in Vallejo just down the street from Discovery Kingdom. After you pick your perfect pumpkin take some time to walk around the 5 acre farm and visit the many farm animals. They are having a pumpkin sale Saturday October 12th. And a Fall Harvest festival on October 19th from 11am to 4pm.

Fall Festivals

October 19th from 10am-3pm Vacaville Kid Fest. At Andrews Park. A day of activities for children at very little to no cost. Vacaville Police Department and Fire Department will be present as well as many booths featuring free kids activities.

October 26th from 12-4pm Nut Tree Pre- Halloween Celebration. Located in Vacaville. Free event. Offering free goody bags, music, a bounce house, face painting, crafts games, and much more. Costumes are optional.

October 31 from 6pm-8pm Kroctoberfest. Located at The Kroc center in Suisun City. A fun, safe night of indoor trick-or-treating and activities. Admission is FREE with a suggested donation of one canned good per person. www.gokroc.org

October 31 from 5pm-7pm Mission Kids Candy Carnival. Located at Mission Church in Vacaville. This FREE event will have carnival games, face painting, lots of candy,  and so much more.     imissionchurch.org/candycarnival
